For over a century, we’ve accepted that AC means a loud, bulky outdoor box with an equally unappealing indoor unit. We’re so used to the constant hum outside our windows, and condenser-crowded balconies that it’s become literal and figurative background noise. They’re just there, and we rarely complain.

It’s time to ask the question: Why did it take so long to invent the rimless toilet?

Once you’ve seen one, the old design just looks wrong. Rimless toilets are engineered to be more hygienic and easier to maintain. But for centuries, the rim’s necessity was never questioned; it was simply built to prevent splashing. You cleaned around it, you lived with the challenges of trapped bacteria and grime, and you never really thought about why.

As air conditioning cooled buildings, it also reshaped how we build. With a cooling strategy in place, windows could be sealed shut, to keep out the noise. In fact, urban acoustics completely transformed without anyone voting on it. Somewhere along the way, air conditioning became a whole category of infrastructure we depend on constantly but almost never think about.

That’s what INNOVA is building toward.

We didn’t set out to make air conditioning quieter or smaller for the sake of a spec sheet. We set out to ask the same question the rimless toilet asked: why does it actually have to be built this way?

One look at our AIO (All-In-One) systems, and you’ll understand. They don’t require an outdoor condenser at all. Heating, cooling, dehumidification, ventilation, and filtration - all handled inside a single, compact indoor unit. To sweeten the deal - there are no exterior units. It’s no longer necessary to give up a rooftop, a facade or even a balcony to an eyesore.

That matters more now than it used to. Even though we can’t fight the tide - cities will continue to grow upwards and outwards. Commercial buildings are being converted into residential housing. As sustainability codes tighten, the assumption that comfort requires exterior equipment, has now run its course. Buildings that simply don’t have room for it, or architecture that shouldn’t have to compromise for it.
